The first step on my yoga journey was seven years ago, when I took a prenatal yoga class during my first pregnancy. Slowing down my thoughts, breathing with awareness, and moving my body with intention were all really new and awakening concepts for me, during a season of life where all of my thoughts and energy were focused on the idea of caring for someone else. That advocacy of self-care is what hooked me, compelled me to go to that next class, and ultimately what led me down the path of becoming a yoga teacher.
I have three kids now, and the very things that resonated with me in that first yoga class still lure me to my mat today. As a teacher, I thrive on bringing balance and peace to anyone who is willing to give yoga a try. I am a certified yoga instructor and I am continuing my study for additional certifications. I am appreciative of the added philosophical dimensions that I am uncovering as time goes by.
