My old blue yoga mat has been my traveling companion for many years. When I put my feet on it I enter a place of tranquility, strength and ease. And now I feel a deep happiness in being able to share that with others. My classes work on building a strong foundation and then exploring and venturing into new territory while keeping a sense of play.
I’ve practiced yoga for over 30 years, leaning toward Iyengar and Vinyasa Flow as well as other disciplines, before being certified as a 230-hour RYT in 2011 at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. I received a Teacher/Trainer certification in Restorative Yoga from Judith Hanson Lasater in 2010 and studied with Seane Corn in a week-long Vinyasa Flow teacher training in 2011. This year I completed the Yoga Therapeutics Module (for arthritis, hip and knee replacements, chronic pain, etc.) as part of my 500 hour yoga teacher certification. I’m also an artist — you can see my greeting cards at Tula!
