Tula Mission Statement

Having a deep connection to nature and outdoor adventures, it only makes sense that I  come to my wellness practice, Fresh Betty Lifestyle, with a Bachelors Degree in Outdoor Education and Recreation from the University of Minnesota Duluth.  I fuse this background with current certifications in yoga from Yoga North in Duluth, Minnesota, and holistic health coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City.  Round this fantastic combination out with advanced trainings in Thai Yoga Bodywork and you have a beautiful fusion that integrates all of this experience into creating customized programs that encourage healthy lifestyle changes.  I iam an avid runner and cross country skier and continually place in the top of my age division in competitive events.  I share a level of knowledge and have a fun, bubbly energy that is welcoming and easy to draw from and absorb.

Fresh Betty Lifestyle is my complete wellness business where I create custom fit programs for individuals interested in making permanent positive lifestyle changes in their life. These changes are integrated over a gradual amount of time and really focus on adding in parts that are missing, rather than depriving oneself or taking things away and engaging in negative self talk.  This gradual change leads to a personal transformation that shows up in the form of less stress, weight loss, better relationships with self and others, appreciation of nature with a cultivation of gratitude in daily life.

Health and Wellness coaching

What is a health coach you ask?  Well, allow me, since I am one!  A health and wellness coach is not like a nutritionist or dietician in the sense that I won’t sit down with you and tell you what to eat and what not to eat, because chances are, you already know that!  What I do, first, sit down with you and find out more about you in an initial consultation that is always free, to see if we would be a good fit to work together, depending on what you are looking for.  I know MANY health coaches right here in the Twin Cities with many different areas of expertise, so if we were not a good fit, we could find someone who you WOULD be a good fit with to reach your goals in wellness.
After the initial consult, I would explain how I could support you with one of my custom designed programs, usually lasting six months in duration(6 months is a magical number that usually will allow change to actually hold and become part of the person’s daily life, creating lasting, permanent change that often exceeds expectations!).  During the six months we work together, we will gradually add things in that are missing instead of deprivation and negative self talk.  By the end of the program, it is guaranteed that you will have discovered parts of yourself that have been lost, you’ll find out where blocks and limitations have kept you from doing things you are passionate about, you’ll definitely be eating better and you’ll probably lose a lot of stress and weight to boot!!  This is, in essence, what a heath coach does and what I bring to this community, and I’m really excited to help you reach your health and life goals!
