The Sacral Chakra:

Our energy center responsible for creativity, open-ness, being present to emotion, going with the ‘flow’.

Tula’s ever-changing schedule of workshops and special events is an opportunity to tune in to something un-explored or to take it’s exploration to a new level.

AERIAL YOGA SKILLS WORKSHOP (pre-requisite to drop-in Aerial Yoga Classes)

This workshop is a prerequisite to attend the drop-in aerial yoga classes.  Learn how to stay safe and present in the fabric hammock as you invert, maneuver, balance, stretch and have fun!! Practice modification and propping techniques to help you work more comfortably in the fabric.  Elevate your yoga practice to a new level and experience it in a new way.

HEALTHY KIDS CAMP (Ages 5 – 12): July 21 - July 25 (M-F) 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.  Kids will practice yoga, play games, exercise and in the process learn about healthy snacks and eating and how fun and good moving your body is.  Have kids bring a water bottle, sneakers and comfy clothes to move in.  Healthy snack is provided (if your child has dietary requirements, please send healthy snack from home.)  Taught by Yoga Instructor, Jaclyn Semlak and Fitness Instructor, Sarah Turino.

Pair up with a loved one and learn & share a basic Thai Yoga Massage sequence that frees up tension head to toe.

Enter the no hurry zone of Thai Yoga Massage. Come unwind from your week while sharing time with a loved one! Pairing together, whether spouse, parent, sibling or friend, you will be guided to give (while the other receives & vice versa, hooray!) a relaxing massage.

You will be introduced to a basic sequence, that touches it all from head to toe, freeing up low back, hip, neck and shoulder tension.

This workshop speaks wisdom to all levels of meditators as we look at the process of the journey inward and its benefits. Meditation is the art of looking inside, stilling the mind, and becoming the master of your own life through conscious witness. These skills allow us to transform our day-to-day life into a more rich and fulfilling experience. Join us as we weave periods of practice and application through guided discussion of this timeless practice. Everyone welcome! No prior experience necessary.

Nicole was initiated into the Himalayan Tradition of Hatha yoga by Yogiraj Achala in 2009. She studied meditation and yogic philosophy with him and continues to practice in the methods of superconscious meditation, as well as other various types.

Mini Retreat: A Focus on Self Compassion: A mindful approach For  Self Esteem and personal growth. It powers our self expression, creativity and artistic side. The search for your inner and spiritual voice is looking for “the pure place”, the meaning of Visuddha. The Throat is responsible for decision making and the ability to speak up for yourself. In this workshop we’ll explore all aspects of the throat chakra through instruction, reflection, meditation, chanting and gentle asana. Come in comfortable clothes, wear blue if you have it. YOGA NORTH YOGA TEACHER TRAININGS AT TULA

Yoga North uses unique techniques based on the Yamas & Niyamas and a progressive approach to classic yoga using somatics, therapeutic yoga and bridging these techniques back to classic postures/asana. This teacher training 500 hour program begins after completing a 200 hour program at Yoga North or another qualified yoga studio. Once you have gained “the essentials” from your 200 hour training, you are invited to deepen your study with advancing the areas of study in body, breath, mind, and philosophy. The course consists of nine intensive weekends, one per month with additional home study, practicum work and a mentorship program.  Final weekend of the training will be spent on retreat in Northern Minnesota

Yoga North known for Teacher Training and Yoga Therapy Certification programs joins with Tula Yoga and Wellness to provide a 500 hour teacher training combined with a level one yoga therapists training beginning  October 2014.

When the Anja chakra is balanced we experience high mental ability, we are able to separate between reality and imagination and best combine logic and emotion. When we live with a balanced Third Eye chakra, we experience overall good health, clear thinking and focus. A balanced Crown Chakra gives you access to your subconscious, allows you to see your true nature and to accept the self as a part of the universe. Through a deep connection to Sahasrara you may fulfill your highest potential. In this workshop we’ll explore all aspects of these two closely related chakras through instruction, reflection, a soft and gentle asana practice that washes through all chakras as well as meditation and chanting. Come in comfortable clothes, wear violet if you have it. Bring a journal and a curious and open mind!
