Tula’s ever-changing schedule of workshops and special events is an opportunity to tune in to something un-explored or to take it’s exploration to a new level.

INTRODUCTION TO UNNATA® AERIAL YOGA WORKSHOP 

This workshop is the prerequisite for all of our drop-in Aerial Yoga classes.  Learn how to stay safe and present in the fabric hammock as you invert, maneuver, balance, stretch and have fun!! Practice modification and propping techniques to help you work more comfortably in the fabric.  Elevate your yoga practice to a new level and experience it in a new way.

DANCE U, LOVE U (DANCE ON! NIA PARTY) with Beth Giles

What’s a Dance On! Nia Party? It’s an extended version of a Nia class for all ages, all genders. Beth will guide you with simple Nia choreography, there will be more time for free dance and lots of great music based on the theme of the month. Come to get a sweat on, to move your body after a week of working, to connect with friends in a fun, alcohol/drug-free environment. A Dance On! Nia Party is a chance for YOU to tap into the joy of being alive through movement.

This week: Love songs, break-up songs, empowering songs and movements! Immerse yourself in the sensation of pleasure at this themed Nia class all about feeling love for the body you are in, the unique person you are. What a way to kick off the weekend!

No previous experience required. We dance in bare feet, but shoes are always optional. Please be sure that they are not street shoes.

AERIAL PLAY & FITNESS with Beth Onward

Aerial Play & Fitness is designed for those with Aerial experience. This workshop offers the opportunity to improve your aerial skills, flexibility, and strength. It is a fun alternative to aerial yoga for those looking for a more challenging aerial experience. Wear long yoga pants and a cotton shirt. Wear layers (tank top, T-shirt, long sleeves). No zippers or jagged jewelry that could scratch you or damage the fabric. The Intro to Aerial Yoga workshop is a prerequisite, and some aerial experience preferred.

THAI YOGA MASSAGE FOR PAIRS with Colleen Dooley

Pair up with a friend or loved one to learn & share a basic Thai Yoga Massage sequence that frees up tension head to toe.

Enter the no hurry zone of Thai Yoga Massage. Come unwind from your week while sharing time with a loved one! Pairing together, whether spouse, parent, sibling or friend, you will be guided to give (while the other receives & vice versa, hooray!) a relaxing massage. You will be introduced to a basic sequence, that touches it all from head to toe, freeing up low back, hip, neck and shoulder tension.

Come relax and connect – learn new methods to extend care to your dear ones! Leave with greater fluidity in your gait, ease in your step, and richly connected. This session is done clothed and on the floor.  For additional comfort, please bring a pillow and a yoga mat.

Sometimes you will make choices that seem like mistakes, but overtime, you may come to realize how this shaping and reshaping, again and again, strengthens your ability to trust in and allow the creative process to unfold.

Intuitive painting and free form movement are two potent practices that uncover the deepest and truest desires of our heart, and brings them into form! Join us for an afternoon of playful exploration as we tap into and access our curiosity, experience the brilliance of our imagination and the joy of self-expression, and move and include the creative forces that shape our lives!

* Two paint sessions where Lulu Bea will guide us through the intuitive painting process, including how to build depth, dimension & texture on your canvas.

Enhance your relationship and practice moving as one at any or all of these Couple Connection events with Julie Delene. Play the Mindful Moves game and ignite more joy. Engage in this new way to play together and inspire more joy and vitality in your relationship. As you practice moving as one, you relax into your natural rhythm. Become present with yourself and your partner. Experience the art of connection.

Each night will include meaningful conversations, reflective and active practices, and meditation. This experience will help you and your partner reduce stress and renew your passion, learn a new way to understand yourself and each other, engage in dynamic conversations, clarify a shared direction, strengthen your partnering skills and have fun!

DELVE DEEPER INTO YIN YOGA with Ruth Silva

Take a deeper look at your yin yoga practice in this workshop.

We will practice for one hour and spend the other hour in discussion. Learn about the philosophy and history of yin, which areas of the body this practice targets, the meridians, how to use props and when to use them, the benefits of yin, each posture and ways to modify so you can meet yourself where you’re at.

Natalie Goldberg’s Writing Practice gets at the physicality of writing by combining the ancient practice of sitting meditation with walking meditation to allow the wild mind to settle and flow outward onto the page, while SomaYoga aims to connect us to our deep center and radiate out our authentic selves. Writing is a physical activity that stems from this center and goes outward. Consciously engage your layers of being through breath, walking and sitting meditation, and lastly a writing practice. Watch the wild mind unfold, settle, and reveal.
