AERIAL YOGA SKILLS WORKSHOP (pre-requisite to drop-in Aerial Yoga Classes)

This workshop is a prerequisite to attend the drop-in aerial yoga classes.  Learn how to stay safe and present in the fabric hammock as you invert, maneuver, balance, stretch and have fun!! Practice modification and propping techniques to help you work more comfortably in the fabric.  Elevate your yoga practice to a new level and experience it in a new way.

It’s spring, time for planting! We will flow through the four natural elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air) and celebrate Bhuvaneshwari, the Cosmic Mother, Goddess of Infinite Space. She contains the world and yet is at the heart of everything. We will offer her what needs to be cleared or planted and she will offer it back transformed.

Comfortable yoga/fitness clothes, a bottle of water and a small towel are recommended.
Radiant Shakti Flow combines centering, creative movement, flowing yoga warm ups, chanting and Yoga Nidra in a practice designed to invoke and celebrate the creative feminine energy in all things, known in Tantra as Shakti. Shakti Flow cultivates freedom of expression, the joy of embodiment and the bliss of our essence. Created by Tara Cindy Sherman, Radiant Shakti Flow is based on the Yoga Dance work developed at Kripalu’s Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA and the Body/Mind centering techniques that promote moving the body in different ways to bring optimal health to the various systems. A key element in Yoga Dance is experiencing freedom and joy through creative movement. When we come together to move, dance and laugh, we discover a powerful antidote to modern day stress.

Yoga & Art Camp (Ages 5 – 12): July 7 – July 11 (M-F) 9:30-12:30 pm

A combination of Yoga Calm®, and art adventure. Yoga Calm® helps release energy, develop strength, calm nervous system, learn compassion, patience, mindfulness, concentration and self-confidence through yoga poses, simple breathing, relaxation techniques and games.  Art projects will give the opportunity for self-expression and connect with the inner-artist.  Taught by Yoga Instructor, Jaclyn Semlak and art led by Ann Blackburn

Flamenco Camp (Ages 6-10): July 14 – 18 (M-F) 9:30-12:30 pm

Join us on an imaginary trip to Spain! Each day we will dance, sing, and join in rhythm play as we explore flamenco dance and music; read Spanish stories; create art projects based on Spanish art and architecture; and enjoy traditional Spanish snacks, all while learning simple Spanish vocabulary. The fun will culminate in a festive celebration on the last day with churros y chocolate, a favorite Spanish treat. Taught by Deborah Elias, professional Flamenco dancer and teacher.

Chakras are energy centers located throughout our bodies that govern different aspects of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Understanding and working with these centers can provide information for deep and profound transformation.The Anahata Chakra is located at the heart center. Anahata means unstruck and unbeaten. The chakra’s translation implies that underneath our pain and grief in this life, we have an abundance of love and compassion. A balanced heart chakra gives us feelings of completeness and wholeness, compassion, empathy and optimism. Through connecting to and opening the heart chakra we can learn how to forgive, trust and love unconditionally. In this workshop we’ll explore all aspects of the heart chakra through instruction, reflection, a soft and gentle heart opening asana practice as well as guided deep relaxation. Hoopflow classes nurture the unfolding of flow and expressive dance with a hoola hoop.  We explore the very nature of flow, the awareness of one’s inner rhythms and a unique expressive language of the body in motion.  This workshop will encourage attunement through intuitive movement, reconnection with the wildness within, working with the entire body, and breaking loose!  We will explore basic moves and transition needed to flow with the hoop.  This workshop is designed for those who have little to no experience with the hoop.   It is helpful to wear clothes that allow more skin contact with the hoop – tank tops are easier than shirts/long-sleeve shirts, as well as shorts vs long pants. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Pair up with a loved one and learn & share a basic Thai Yoga Massage sequence that frees up tension head to toe.

Enter the no hurry zone of Thai Yoga Massage. Come unwind from your week while sharing time with a loved one! Pairing together, whether spouse, parent, sibling or friend, you will be guided to give (while the other receives & vice versa, hooray!) a relaxing massage.

You will be introduced to a basic sequence, that touches it all from head to toe, freeing up low back, hip, neck and shoulder tension.

Come relax and connect – learn new methods to extend care to your dear ones! Leave with greater fluidity in your gait, ease in your step, and richly connected.

This session is done clothed and on the floor.  For additional comfort, please bring a pillow and a yoga mat.

Mindfulness Meditation helps you develop the “observer” within so that you can be with what is without resistance.  You will learn to stop the inner critic and cultivate serenity and inner acceptance.  Mindfulness Meditation can help you:

  • Utilize the breath for stress reduction and spiritual connection.
  • Develop greater clarity in thinking and decision-making.
