YOGA CALM® For Children/Teens
Help your child develop healthy habits for a lifetime of wellness and happiness. Yoga Calm gives children a practice and routine that integrates physical, mental and emotional development. Skills include: simple breathing techniques to slow down the nervous system, develop self-control and connect kids with their feelings. Yoga poses to release energy, learn compassion and develop strength, concentration and self-conﬁdence. Games and processes that develop patience, mindfulness, leadership and other social/emotional skills. Relaxation techniques and storytelling to calm the body and mind, and integrate physical, emotional and cognitive experiences.
Skills and Activities Covered
Through Yoga Calm practice, your child will develop more personal aware-ness and learn speciﬁc strategies to maintain focus and manage their emotions and impulses. And practice over time contributes to his or her greater health, self-mastery and well-being.
YOGA CALM® (ages 4-12)
Sundays 11:30 am – 12:30 pm with Elizabeth Sullivan: March 23 – April 27 (No Class on Easter – 5 week session – $60) Begin at anytime and pro-rate.
Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:00 pm with Marianne Turnbull: March 26, – April 30 (6 class-session – $72). Begin at anytime and pro-rate.
NOTE: There are adult yoga classes at the same time as the Yoga Calm (ages 4-12) on Sunday and Wednesday. Please see “Class Schedule”
