Introducing A 3rd space for men - move, connect, and grow with Dan Blackburn, C-IAYT, PCC
We live in complicated times. Most of us have never had so many global events impacting our daily lives at one time. Men historically have been told not to feel or share feelings if they exist. We’ve been told to “Be a man” in one way or another. Often this leads to isolation, especially now.
This series provides the space and tools to foster connections with ourselves and others, gain new perspectives, and build a stronger sense of community and belonging. We'll utilize SomaYoga therapeutic movement, breathwork, story, and discussion to restore and strengthen our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
SomaYoga Therapy is a unique approach to building strength, stability, and flexibility while connecting mind + body. We blend neuroscience (Somatics), ancient yoga practices, breath practices, and functional movement to cultivate intelligent and conscious body awareness. Somatic movements release tension patterns & retrain muscle imbalances. Yoga practices regulate the nervous system, calm the mind, and strengthen the body. These combined can lead to greater ease in our daily activities & movements, help prevent injuries, and bring more awareness to causes of stress. Yoga experience is not necessary.
Through this series, you will gain a toolbox of practices to integrate into your life to support your health and wellbeing. You will receive video and audio between sessions to support the work we do in session.
The series meets once per month for six months. Support materials are provided between sessions. Space is limited to 12. Curious? If you have questions, please email Dan at dan@tulayogawellness.com.
